New Prints

So if anybody keeps up with the new items in my store, you may have seen all of the prints that I have been adding. Well I have another handful that I am going to be adding over the next few days... Bear, Urchin, Cat, Queen Bee, Frog, Kangaroo, Unicorn, and Wolf, possibly more. Stay tuned...

And always remember that if there is a certain animal you would like to see that I can probably make it happen!

Long Weekend!

So I found out on Wednesday that I would be selling in a craft fair on Saturday. Stayed up all night on Friday getting ready and the show was a total bust! I barely made back my entry fee! The biggest problem was that this was the first time they have done this show in that location and there just wasn't enough traffic. No Traffic = No Sales. Oh well, lesson learned, need to find a busier show!

Piggy Piggy

So here is the sketch for my new piggy... I know it's not much... I colored it in Paint LOL, but that's all I have available to me right now... hopefully I will be creating my real piggy tonight!

Well I see the contest is working well... 0 entries! I need a better way!

There's been so much going on this last week and weekend I think I'm going to plunk down in my studio tonight and get some work done! I have a bunny all ready to go, then I'm thinking maybe the hippo next? I'll give him a nice African River to hang out in! Maybe even a little birdie friend!

New Items in Store!

I posted four new items in my Etsy store this weekend! Three fine art prints and a set of Panda coasters. Pictured below are the new prints as they look when framed. I also printed a few fine art canvas prints this weekend and will be assembling them on frames tonight, hopefully I will have them listed in the store later tonight. More goodies still to come!!

Christmas in April!

So I'm in the Etsy Children's showcase today, hopefully bringing some traffic to my shop!

FedEx finally got their act together and is delivering my stuff today (YAY!) so this weekend I will definitely be posting new items to my shop (YAY!) I just have to get through the day here at work so I can hurry home and open all of my boxes! It's like Christmas in April (YAY!)!!!!!!

Hey FedEx! Hurry Up!

I really wish that FedEx would hurry up and deliver my materials for my new "coming soon" items!! I am really antsy to get started!! So last night I was working a little more on some new animals but falling asleep at my desk was becoming counter-productive so I just ended up crawling into bed and didn't get much done. Having a 'normal' full time job really cuts into my creative time and energy reserves. :( Oh well, back at it tonight!!

New Items and Zooples coming soon!!!

Just a quick shoutout to Jasmin at TheLemonDropTree who featured my Zooples on her blog, thanks!

I am so excited I can barely contain myself! I started working on new Zoople deisgns and they are just A D O R A B L E!

I am going to be doing a lot with these designs including my first introduction of art prints. If all goes well they will be fine art prints on fine satin canvas paper, stretched over a frame- SWEET!!

Here's a sneak peek at some of the new Zooples (notice they started growing bodies!!) These are just preliminary illustrations but I wanted to share so badly!! I have so many ideas in my head about what I want to create and I'm just so sad that there isn't about 50 hours in every day! "I'm bored" is not a phrase heard around my house!

Etsy is giving me craft ADD!!!

So my catch phrase for the last two months or so is "NEW PROJECT!!"

I can't help it! I surf around etsy and various blogs and I can't help but fill my mind with ideas. The cool thing about it is that there are so many little gooey ideas just floating around, so many unique things, I just get to sit and brainstorm... how can I make this my own? What can I do that nobody else has done? Or how can I improve on great ideas and make them greater?!

I can't stay focused because I always have so many things I have to try! Not to mention my poor family who has to listen to every new 'great' idea I come up with. I've gotten to the point where I just say, "you know what? Nevermind, I'll show you when I'm done!"

Well, back to 'real work' now (with a little crafty daydream tucked in the middle).

Check out my trial run of my new item for my Etsy shop! I will be making custom wall letters. For this first one I put the Queen Bee on the letter E, but in the future I would like to coordinate the animals to their respective letters.

This is also going to be a project that can be customized. Price will be per letter with a little extra based on the level of customization if you request it. (but not much! I want things to be affordable for my customers)!
